Elasyn (or Sokolinaya) cave is located in the Elasyntau mountain on the left bank of the Khazhinovskaya Shida river. The cave is located in a zone of typical broad-leaved lime-maple-oak forests with a poor floristic composition. At the same time, it is the most important refuge for wintering and preserving the population of the brown long-eared bat (Plecotus auritus).).
