Krasnousolsky I Mineral Water Deposit

Krasnousolsky I mineral water deposit — is hydrogen-sulphide water. Krasnousolsky resort consists of 32 groups of artesian sulfide springs. They are located in two lines along the Usolka river’s right and left banks.

The right bank is ~ 0.5 km long. It unites 29 groups of springs of natural origin. On the Usolka river's left bank there are two hydrogen-sulphide springs. They appeared where wells used to be and uncovered outflowing waters (0.9 and 5.0 I/s) in the carbonate limestones. The flow rate of different springs is from 0.1 to 8-10 I/s. The total flow rate in the summer low-water level periods is estimated at 80 I/s. All springs waters are chloride sodium with 2.2-47.7 g/dm3 salinity, up to 70-80 mg\dm3H2S concentration, 9-13°C temperature, pH 6.9-7.4, Eh +160...-340 mV value. Micronutrient content (mg\dm3): Br up to 40.5, 1 up to 0.9, H3B03 up to 30.9, F up to 1.6. The salt composition is 80-95% NaCI. The other salts are: Na2S041-4%, MgS04 2-6%, CaS04 0.2-7% and Ca (HC03)21-8%. The water is infiltrating. The chemical composition is explained with carbonic rocks salt complex leaching. The hydrogen-sulphide is biogenic.

5/87 and 4-K wells mineral waters belong to 2.5.4 subgroup of Krasnousolsky type as per Methodological Instructions of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation No. 2000/34, Classification of mineral waters and therapeutic muds for certification purposes.
