Карстовая пещера Таш-Асты в переводе с башкирского ― «У камня». Второе название пещеры Уклы-Кая (в переводе с башкирского ― «Стрельная скала»). В былые времена, по устным приданиям, у башкир существовал обряд стрельбы в пещеру из лука ― точный выстрел приносил удачу на охоте. Аркообразный вход в пещеру размером 8,3 × 11,7 м расположен в средней части правого склона долины р. Зилим в основании скального обнажения горных пород, именуемого скалой Уклы-Кая. В скале Уклы-Кая имеются еще ряд мелких (длиной менее 5 –10 м) пещер и гротов.
The cave is a unidirectional ascending to the north direction (deep into the karst massif) oblique–horizontal corridor 49 m long and ends with a vertical course littered with limestone fragments formed by cutting tectonic fissures. The cave area is 163 m2, volume — 719 m3, amplitude — 17 m. The cave is embedded in limestones of the Bashkirian tier of the middle section of the coal system, hollow falling to the north.
The cave is dry, there are no streak formations. The entire floor of the cave is composed of loam and clay up to 5 m thick. In the entrance part, the floor is covered with rubble and tile fragments of limestone. The age of the cave is ancient. It is at least 2 million years.
